What is Meals Delivered?

We are the premium delivery service for over 35 of your favorite restaurants in the city of Pittsbugh.

How does this service work?

Select the restaurant you want to order from, either from our website or from our multi-restaurant menu guide.

To order on-line, click on your favorite restaurant from the menu on the left. Click on the items you wish to order. Please NO substitutions. When you are finished ordering, enter your form of payment and a Customer Service Representative (CSR) will call you back to confirm your order.

Sit back, relax, and the food is on its way to you within 45 to 60 minutes. Due to traffic, incremental weather, various sports games, or construction your delivery can be delayed. No refunds are given unless the order is over two hours old.

Once your order has been placed with the restaurant there are no cancellations.  You will be responsible for payment.

What if there is a problem?

We are in the business of serving you. Our goal is to satisfy you, our customer. Keep in mind that Meals Delivered places your order with the restaurant that you wish to order from, and delivers it to you without opening any containers. The responsibility for quantity and onlyquality of food is that of each restaurant, but you are our customer, and we appreciate your business. We will do our best to keep you coming back. If for any reason you are not pleased, contact Meals Delivered immediately at 412-481-6325 (MEAL).

What are your hours of operation?

Our hours of operation are: Monday - Friday 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM; Saturday 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM; and Sunday 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We are closed for Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Years Day.

What does it cost?

Menu prices include meal costs and do not include delivery charges, tips, or taxes.  Ordering on-line will reduce your charges.  An administrative fee of 4% will be waived for cash orders; however a valid credit card number is required for first time orders as a back-up for those orders. 

Our delivery charge is $3.00 plus $1.00 for crossing two zipcodes and an additional $.50 for phone orders.  NOTE:  if you order from more than one restaurant at the same time, $3.00 is added for each additional restaurant.

Tips are at your discretion, but keep in mind this is how drivers earn most of their pay.  Waiters have to cross a dining room, but drivers have to fight weather and traffic in their own cars to get your meal to you promptly!  We suggest 20% as appropriate for drivers.  However, on orders over $50.00 a minimum 15% tip is required.

How do I place larger orders?

When placing large orders (for 8-14) please call before ordering on-line so we can verify that your meals can be delivered when you need them.  For very large orders (15 and over) 24 hour notice is required, but check first.  We will do our best to accommodate and suggest alternatives.  Ask about the restaurants that have catering menus. Look to Meals Delivered to help with your sales meetings, lunches, seminars, and other events.

For organizations which require regular scheduled deliveries, special arrangements can be made, just call and we will be happy to work with you.

Can I place an order for a future time?

YES!We recommend placing an advance order to help ensure your desired delivery time, particularly during peak times. Advance orders can be placed on-line up to 5 days before desired delivery time. Click on the Advance Ordering\Takeout button at the top of this page to schedule a future delivery. You may place an order even months in advance by calling us during our regular hours.

Is there a delivery fee?

Yes, the delivery fee is 10% of your food order. While part of the delivery fee goes to our drivers, tipping your driver is greatly appreciated and encouraged.

Is there a minimum order amount?

Yes, each restaurant has a minimum order requirement ranging from $0 to $20. This minimum amount is determined by Meals Delivered, Inc.'s management.

Can I buy Meals Delivered gift certificates?

Sure thing! Giving the gift of "not cooking" is a sure way to show your appreciation to a loved one, friend, client or colleague. We are able to provide gift certificates in any denomination. Call us at 412-481-MEALS during business hours for details!

Can I use restaurant coupons?

We're sorry, but no. Our participating restaurants still want to serve you in person for those nights out. So save those coupons for a top-quality, complete service, in-house meal.

What do you do with information you collect from me?

Your privacy is our primary concern and we will never share your information with any outside person or entity. We store only needed personal information for order completion and direct contact in our secure and private database. So remember your password!

What if I have a credit on my account?

If you receive a credit from Meals Delivered you have to call your order into 412-481-6325 and give your order to one of our call takers to receive your credit. If you place your order on-line you will not be able to use your credit for that order. You will still have the credit on your account but you will have to call to receive it.

Do I have to use a credit on the restaurant I received it from?

No, If you receive a credit you can use that credit for any of our restaurants. You do not have to use it for the restaurant that you received the credit from.
